Brunner was apparently so interested in what Toffler had to say, he chose to portray his ideas in novel form. And Future Shock is another book which I can't recommend highly enough. Toffler might not have been right about everything, but I think he really hit on something with the basic concept of "future shock" as a state where you constantly.
